Al-Farabi KazNU develops high-quality education in cooperation with EDP Hub publishing house

Within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal №17. Partnership for Sustainable Development

A meeting was held at Al-Farabi KazNU on October 21, 2024 with Gulzhauhar Bikzhanova, a representative of the EDP Hub publishing house (Moscow). The event was attended by:

Head of the Department of Science and Publication Activity T. Kuanysh Talgatuly; Dean of the Faculty of History D. Suleimenovich Baigunakov; Deputy Dean for Scientific and Innovative Activities A. Talgatovna Suyinova; Head of the Department of Archeology, Ethnology and Museology R. Serikovich Zhumataev; Deputy Deans of the Higher School of Economics and Business M. Daribayeva and the Faculty of Philology Zh. Bayanbayeva; Faculty of History teaching staff. The key topic of the meeting was the discussion of cooperation in the field of publishing and digital educational resources.

EDP Hub is the developer of the national educational platform for training highly qualified personnel E-UNI.KZ (e-uni.kz) and a publisher of educational and scientific literature for educational institutions.

The following issues were considered within the framework of cooperation:

Joint publication and re-publication of books by University authors: inclusion of teachers' works in the company's digital products, promotion of the scientific school of Al-Farabi KazNU. Placement of educational and scientific publications of KazNU on the E-UNI.KZ platform and in the IPR SMART digital educational resource: providing access to textbooks, monographs and periodicals of the university to a wide audience. Participation in the project "Leaders in Education": an opportunity for university rectors to share their experience and knowledge. Use of digital educational resources: access to the national educational platform, digital library, online courses and digital learning services (E-UNI.KZ, IPR SMART). The meeting opens up new prospects for the development of quality education at Al-Farabi KazNU, increasing the accessibility of knowledge and promoting the scientific achievements of the university.
