On October 21, 2024, the event "Affordable Food on Campus" was held on the ground floor of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management, organized as part of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal No.
2 "Eliminating Hunger". The event was aimed at teachers and students to draw attention to the problem of lack of time for proper nutrition in conditions of academic and work workload. The organizers were senior teachers of the UNESCO Department of Sustainable Development Tanybaeva A.K. and Kerimkulova A.B., as well as students of the 3rd and 4th courses of the educational program "Ecology".
They prepared pastries and fresh fruit salads themselves, which were sold to the participants of the event. The action aroused great interest among students and teachers.
All proceeds are planned to be used to support further environmental initiatives and projects, which underlines the importance of sustainable nutrition and active participation in solving global problems.
