On October 25, 1990, the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR adopted the first legal document of independent Kazakhstan – the Declaration of State Sovereignty. This document laid the political and legal foundations for Kazakhstan as a sovereign state.The fundamental principles of sovereign statehood were proclaimed as the unity of the country, territorial integrity and indivisibility, the inviolability of state borders, the revival and development of the culture, traditions, and languages of the Kazakh people and other ethnic groups in Kazakhstan, and the strengthening of national identity.
Today, we proudly celebrate Kazakhstan's political and economic achievements, as well as its authority on the international stage. On this significant day, we wish all Kazakhstani citizens prosperity and peace. May the unity and harmony of the people remain the unshakable foundation of our state.
