An event dedicated to plastic recycling

On October 28, 2024, as part of their teaching practice, PhD students from the Department of Analytical, Colloid Chemistry and Technology of Rare Elements, Serik Ye. and Bakaikina N. together with students organized an event dedicated to plastic recycling. This topic is highly relevant and aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 15 Life on Land, 15.2 Supporting terrestrial ecosystems through education).
The following activities were conducted during the event:
- the importance of plastic recycling and waste-sorting culture was discussed;
- students was shown how and where to recycle plastic using the Sparklo app;
- outreach among others was conducted, explaining the correct way to recycle plastic.
