On October 31. 2024 an international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Doctor of Law, Professor Abzhanov Koben Abzhanovich, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University "IMPROVING THE EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT IN THE CONTEXT OF REFORMING AND DIGITALIZATION OF LABOR LEGISLATION IN THE EAEU COUNTRIES" was held.

The conference was organized by the Department of Civil Law, Civil Procedure and Labor Law of the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The participants of the conference discussed topical issues of the labor legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of development of the social partnership system, improvement of the system of collective contractual regulation of labor relations, institutions of the labor contract and contract, taking into account the legislative experience of the states of the Eurasian Economic Union.

The following issues were discussed at the conference:

1) the concept and essence of an employment contract and a contract in the context of the development of the legal system, business development and support;

2) labor and civil legislation on the legal nature of contracts. Convergence of civil law contracts into the sphere of regulation of labor relations;

3) implementation of digitalization mechanisms in the system of labor relations, the use of information and communication technologies in the conclusion of employment contracts, contracts;

4) determining the status of contract employees and their areas of activity;

5) the legal nature of employment contracts. Judicial practice on the terms of employment contracts and contracts;

6) topical issues of representation of the rights and legitimate interests of the parties to labor relations, the status of representative bodies;

7) the possibilities and limits of changing the terms of employment contracts and contracts, legal issues of transfers to other jobs, their features;

8) personnel management issues, transferring them to external management;

9) administrative legal procedures applied in the activities of employers jointly with the representative bodies of employees, the adoption of joint acts by them.

10) the importance of agreements between social partners in regulating labor, socio-economic relations at all levels of their activities (republican, sectoral, regional levels, legal entities);

11) specifics of the employment contract with political and administrative civil servants;

12) the meaning of employment contracts in the areas of civil law relations;

13) contracts of a civil nature (GPH) in the fields of labor relations.

The conference was attended by domestic and foreign scientists, judges, heads of trade unions, public figures, lawyers, representatives of the prosecutor's office, the Department of Labor Inspection of Almaty, representatives of business structures, managers, employees of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University, pedagogical staff of the Faculty of Law.

The presentations of the conference participants were devoted to the prospects for the development of labor legislation, in particular, the theory and practice of concluding labor contracts, contracts in the context of reforming and digitalization of labor legislation in the EAEU countries."
