Winning the JurAsia InterTax 2024 competition

A team from the Faculty of International Relations of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has won the prestigious JurAsia InterTax 2024 international taxation competition.
The competition was organized by the Tax Experts Committee of Kazakhstan (TEC) together with TKS Disputes and BEPS Academy.
The team included talented students: Amina Nurgalimova, Tolkynay Toktar, Islam Knasilov, Nemati Ayatullah. The team was led by Liazzat Nysanbekova, Associate Professor of International Law Department of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, whose professionalism and mentoring played an important role in achieving success.
The final battle unfolded between the teams of KazNU and Indian International University of Legal Education and Research. Students of KazNU demonstrated a high level of knowledge and analytical skills, gaining a well-deserved victory
Arbitrators of the competition were: Philip Baker - barrister of Field Court Tax Chambers, professor of Oxford University, Kees van Raad - chairman of the International Tax Center in Leiden, counselor Loyens & Loeff, Ravil Kassilgov - partner of TKS Disputes and organizer of the competition.
The victory of KazNU students became a vivid confirmation of the high level of training of students of the Faculty of International Relations of the University and their abilities in the field of international law and taxation.
