Current problems of religious studies

The republican scientific and practical conference on "Actual problems of religious studies in Kazakhstan" was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science Bekzhan Meirbayev, doctors and Professors of Philosophy Nagima Baitenova, Kalimash Begalinova, Karlygash Borbasova, well-known scientists, theologians, experts, faculty and students of the university.

The purpose is a comprehensive discussion of the current problems of religious studies in the modern world, as well as an analysis of the role and impact of religious studies on society. In addition, the conference will consider ways to adapt religious studies to new social, political and cultural processes.

The participants discussed the scientific foundations of religious studies, new approaches to its study, as well as the place and influence of religions in society. In particular, special attention was paid to issues of multiculturalism, interreligious dialogue, tolerance and terrorism, as well as how religious studies can respond to modern challenges and innovations in society.

It should be noted that the Republican scientific and practical conference was organized by the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science.
