The campaign "Be a force for good!" is taking place

As part of the international campaign "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence," the "Be the Force of Good!" campaign was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University for young people.

The event, organized within the framework of the social project "Ayauly Zhan", was supported by the union of crisis centers of Kazakhstan, the Faculty of History of KazNU and the department of public development of Almaty city.

The campaign is aimed at attracting the attention of young people to issues of gender-based violence and forming an active position against all its forms.

Speaking at the meeting, the Ambassador of the United Nations UNFPA in Kazakhstan Akmarzhan Kusherbayeva noted that the fight against gender-based violence has become an urgent topic of today and told the gathered youth about important aspects of protecting the rights and interests of people who have been subjected to violence. Also at the meeting, well-known lawyer Aliya Omarova explained in detail to young people measures to prevent domestic violence. The participants received answers to their questions and got acquainted with the methods of violence prevention.
