New connect with Chinese colleagues

The delegation of the Beijing University of Science and Technology visited the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. During the visit, the delegation members met with the leadership of KazNU to discuss issues of mutually beneficial cooperation.

At the meeting, the Deputy Chairman of the Board and Acting First Vice-Rector of KazNU, Erkin Duisenov, thanked the distinguished guests for their interest in partnership and highlighted the university's strategic cooperation with Chinese universities.

Currently, KazNU is implementing joint research and educational projects with 65 universities in China under signed agreements. A branch of the Northwestern Polytechnical University (NWPU) has been established and is operating successfully. Together with the Institute of ecology and geography of the Xinjiang Academy of sciences (China), KazNU has created the "China-Kazakhstan joint laboratory for remote sensing technology and applications". The International China-Kazakhstan scientific laboratory for energy-Intensive nanotechnology was launched in collaboration with Nanjing University of Science and Technology, while the "5G/5.5G Communication Technologies" laboratory was established jointly with Northwestern Polytechnical University. Expressing gratitude to the distinguished guests for their visit, the First Vice-Rector expressed hope for fruitful cooperation.

In response, Wu Guilong, Chancellor of the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) and Chairman of the Board of the China-Overseas Research Center for science, technology, andcivilization in humanities exchange, spoke about USTB’s activities. As a state research university with approximately 30,000 students, USTB is actively establishing connections in the field of high-tech development. Its leadership is keen on collaborating with KazNU to implement joint projects.

At the meeting, the deans of the Faculty of Physics and Technology Nurzada Beisen, the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology Alina Galeeva also made proposals.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views and discussed issues related to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
