A visit by Professor Vardan Galstyan
From October 19 to November 15, 2024, the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, at the Department of Analytical and Colloid Chemistry and Technology of Rare Elements, hosted a visit by Professor Vardan Galstyan from the Institute of Materials for Electronics and Magnetism, National Research Council of Italy (CNR-IMEM). This event was organized under the program for inviting foreign scientists, initiated by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) No. 4 – "Quality Education," No. 9 – "Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure," and No. 17 – "Partnerships for the Goals," as it aimed to enhance education quality, advance research, and strengthen collaboration in science and innovation.
During the visit:
- Joint scientific research was conducted, resulting in the submission of a research project for grant funding.
- Master classes were held for master’s students, doctoral candidates, and young researchers, focusing on current scientific topics and modern research methods.
- New ideas and partnership opportunities were explored with the foreign professor, facilitating the strengthening of international scientific connections.
Such events contribute to enhancing the university's scientific and educational potential and provide students and young researchers with opportunities to gain world-class experience.
