A textbook on anti-corruption policy was presented at KazNU

The presentation of a new textbook "Anti-Corruption policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan" was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event is timed to coincide with the International Anti–Corruption Day - December 9th.

The textbook "Anti-Corruption Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan" was created to strengthen the state policy in the fight against corruption. It aims to foster zero tolerance for any manifestations of corruption in society, as well as moral and ethical principles and personal qualities in every citizen. It is intended for students of higher educational institutions, researchers, and practicing specialists in the fields of law, public administration, and law enforcement.

The content of the textbook covers the sections: "Formation and development of anti-corruption policy in Kazakhstan", "Anti-corruption policy as a course of the state", "Political and legal foundations of anti-corruption policy", "Subjects of anti-corruption", etc. The author's team of the textbook: M.T.Alimbekov, A.Zh.Shpekbayev, B.N.Asylov, M.S.Bashimov, E.E.Duisenov, A.N.Eskaraev, A.Zh.Zhumagali, N.H.Kalisheva.

The event was opened by Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev. He noted that education and knowledge are the most powerful weapons in the fight against corruption, and our task is to convey this knowledge deeply and comprehensively. "The main purpose of the book is not only to teach future lawyers, civil servants and representatives of law enforcement agencies the basics of anti–corruption, but also to provide them with specific tools and methods to effectively counter this negative phenomenon", - the head of the university stressed.

Alik Shpekbayev, ex-chairman of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, chairman of the public organization "National Anti-Corruption Network", being one of the authors of the textbook, stressed that the publication is aimed at forming a systematic and critical approach to the analysis of anti-corruption measures and their application in the reader. In his report, he described the main directions of anti-corruption policy and other sections of the publication. "This textbook was written by a team of authors, each of whom is deeply familiar with the problem and has devoted his professional activity to solving it, whether it is scientific research, professional practice or participation in the development of anti-corruption initiatives". – stressed Alik Zhatkambaevich. "Each of us brought his own experience and knowledge, which allowed us to create material that reflects the current issues of combating corruption at the present stage".

The presentation was also attended by: Deputy Chairman of the Board – Acting First Vice-Rector of KazNU. Al-Farabi Yerkin Duissenov, Rector of the Kutafin Moscow State Law University Viktor Blazheev (online), ex-Chairman of the Constitutional council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the human rights commission under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Igor Rogov, Rector of the University of the prosecutor's office of the Russian Federation Igor Matskevich (online), ex-Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, professor of the Department theories and histories of state and law, constitutional administrative law of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Musabek Alimbekov and others.

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, a discussion and summing up of the event took place.
