HEALTHY LIFESTYLE IS THE PATH TO SUCCESS
On December 2, 2024, at 12:00, an event dedicated to SDG 3: “Good Health and Well-Being” was held in Room 10B – 1 at the faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics. The event was conducted by the Senior Lecturer of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature, Bazarbayeva A.S. The foundation of a healthy lifestyle includes a balanced diet, physical activity, an active lifestyle, positive emotional health, and avoiding bad habits. Young people are particularly at risk due to harmful habits such as smoking, alcohol and drug use, and gambling addiction. To identify the reasons behind rejecting a healthy lifestyle, the group developed and conducted a survey with the following questions:
• What prevents you from maintaining a healthy lifestyle?
• Highlight the reasons that influence your rejection of a healthy lifestyle.
The survey results revealed several factors contributing to the neglect of a healthy lifestyle.
Firstly, improper time management was identified as a key issue, leading to disorganization. The ability to manage time effectively is essential for living a full life. This skill also involves developing willpower, which helps in waking up on time, completing tasks, and being punctual.
Secondly, the presence of bad habits significantly complicates students’ lives. Unnecessary expenses often result in financial difficulties. Moreover, the detrimental effects of alcohol and drugs on the brain and overall health are scientifically proven.
The students shared personal stories and examples from the lives of their loved ones, illustrating the harmful impact of bad habits on each person’s life. Giving up all forms of dependency and adhering to the principles of a healthy lifestyle contribute to strengthening one’s health, improving emotional well-being, and increasing productivity.
