KazNU is the leader in the QS Sustainability rating

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU) has once again confirmed its status as a leading university in Kazakhstan, remaining the only university in the country included in the top 500 best universities in the world in terms of achievements in the field of Sustainable development goals.
In the international QS Sustainability ranking, Al-Farabi KazNU demonstrated the highest results among Kazakhstani universities in 7 of the 9 key indicators of the methodology: Good Governance (10%), Equality (10%), Knowledge exchange (10%), Employability & Opportunities (10%), Health and Well-being (5%), Environmental sustainability (20%), Environmental research (25%). Al-Farabi KazNU took particularly high positions in the indicators "Good governance" (231st place) and "Knowledge exchange" (269th place). This achievement was made possible through the activ efforts of the university as a global hub of the United Nations "Academic impact" program on sustainable development. Al-Farabi KazNU serving as a global hub for the UN on sustainable development, actively implements environmental, social, and educational initiatives aimed at achieving the sustainable development goals, promoting green technologies, and shaping future leaders capable of addressing global challenges.
The University's long-term systematic work in the field of sustainable development, high scientific and educational potential and innovative projects of the university confirm its competitiveness in the international arena and contribution to global trends in the modern world.
