Prospects of science and artificial intelligence

The Farabi Library hosted the Artificial Intelligence Farabi Fest (AI Farabi Fest), organized by the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with the support of NVIDIA Corporation and leading experts in the field of artificial intelligence.
The event has become a unique platform for exploring advanced technologies and their real-world applications in areas such as medicine, computer, games, education and creativity.
AI Farabi Fest is aimed at popularizing artificial intelligence technologies, demonstrating their capabilities and practical applications. This is a source of inspiration for the participants, an incentive to use AI to solve real problems.
The event was attended by experts from NVIDIA and other industry leaders, scientists and teachers studying at the university.
Oleg Shkoda, senior technical product marketing manager at NVIDIA Corporation, introduced GeForce RTX technologies, which are actively changing the approach to learning, gaming and creativity, providing a new level of performance thanks to innovations in graphics, artificial intelligence and hardware acceleration.
Alexander Erokhin, managing director of HYPERPC Kazakhstan, spoke about the future of gaming technologies and artificial intelligence. The interaction of innovations in graphics, computing power and AI allows not only to create new types of content, but also changes the way users perceive technology.
Nurzhan Baltabai, technical director of 3MIS LLP, focused on digital medical systems aimed at improving the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of patient health.
After the speeches, the speakers answered numerous questions from the students. Students were given fitcoins for the best questions.
An AI CTF tournament was held as part of the festival. It was attended by 196 people, which indicates a high interest in the competition and involvement in the event. Various interactive AI contests were also held, which allowed students to test their skills in AI-related tasks: from image recognition and audio to solving chess problems generated by neural networks.
For active participation in sessions with speakers, in the AI CTF tournament, as well as in AI contests, students received bitcoins for which they could take prizes in the prize shop. Among the popular prizes were hoodies, backpacks, thermal mugs and branded stickers of the festival.
AI Farabi Fest 2024 has become an important step in promoting AI technologies in Kazakhstan. The organizers express their gratitude to all participants and sponsors and are preparing for new large-scale events in the future.
