Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty Mohsen Fagani on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan.
The Head of KazNU expressed gratitude to the Consul for his efforts in strengthening partnership between the two countries, noting the high level of scientific and educational cooperation achieved in recent years. Zhanseit Tuimebayev said: "Today, the Center for arabic and iranian studies, which was opened with your direct support, is successfully operating at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Thanks to you, university students study the history and culture of Iran and the Islamic world. During your tenure as Consul General of Iran in Almaty, we have done a great job and reached good agreements".
In turn, expressing gratitude for the attention paid to the rector, Mohsen Fagani said that he was confident in the further development of the iranian language in higher education.
"I am pleased that at the Center of arabic and iranian studies, young people are learning the language and culture of Islamic states. I am sure that this direction will continue to develop under your leadership. I would also like to inform you that the KazNU teacher won in one of the nominations of the international competition, which is held annually in our country. Next week, the scientist will receive her prize from the hands of the President of Iran. My congratulations!", - concluded the Consul General.
At the end of the meeting, stressing the huge contribution to the development of relations between Kazakhstan and Iran, the Rector of KazNU presented M.Fagani with the "Al-Farabi" medal.
