Europe and Kazakhstan: Interconnections in the Context of World History

On December 13, 2024, the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted the international scientific and practical conference "Europe and Kazakhstan in the Context of the World Historical Process."

The event was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Gulzhaukhar Kudaibergenovna Kokebaeva. At the opening of the conference, the Dean of the Faculty of History, Dosbol Baigunakov, delivered a congratulatory speech and noted the achievements of the professor.

The plenary session also featured presentations by representatives of higher educational institutions of the country and heads of the Central State Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Archives of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Central State Archives of Scientific and Technical Documentation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Also speaking were the head of the Department of World History, Historiography and Source Studies of KazNU named after al-Farabi, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Professor Ryskeldy Myrzabakova; the head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan of KazNU, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Bereket Karibayev; the head of the Department of Archeology, Ethnology and Museology, Rinat Zhumataev; and other guests.

Within the framework of the international scientific and practical conference "Europe and Kazakhstan in the Context of the World Historical Process," a presentation was held of the book "Ghibratti Ghumyr" (published by "Kazakh Universiteti"), dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Gulzhaukhar Kudaibergenovna Kokebaeva.

The conference was held offline and online, in Kazakh and Russian, at the library of KazNU named after al-Farabi.
