36 professors of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University became the winners of the competition "The best University teacher – 2024".
In this year's competition, 150 professors from 38 Kazakhstani universities were recognized as the best. Of these, 36 work at KazNU.
Each of them will receive a prize of 2,000 MRP, which amounts to more than 7 million tenge. In addition to the monetary reward, the winners of the "Best university educator" competition will receive a badge of honor.
The competition is held annually with the aim of raising the prestige of the teaching profession and encouraging teachers to further develop professionally.
A total of 946 candidates from 90 higher educational institutions across the country participated in the competition. The evaluation criteria included the development and publication of electronic educational resources, teaching materials, scientific publications in domestic and international journals, the presence of patents for inventions, and more. The quality of teaching, as well as the work done in training specialists at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels, were also assessed.
