NPU management got acquainted with the work of the branch

The Chairman of the Board and Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, met with a delegation from Northwestern Polytechnical University.
Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) share long-standing ties and fruitful, mutually beneficial co-operation. A branch of NPU has been established at KazNU, where students receive education in programs such as materials science and engineering, electronics and communication technologies, and computer science and technology. Upon completion of their studies, graduates will receive diplomas from both universities. Additionally, a joint laboratory "5G/5.5G Communication technologies" has been created at the university in collaboration with NPU. The new center is designed to provide access to cutting-edge telecommunications technologies in Kazakhstan.
The parties discussed issues of co-operation and identified areas for further joint work.
After that, a meeting took place between the delegation of Northwestern Polytechnical University and students and master's degree students from the Faculty of Physics and Technology and the NPU branch. The event was attended by: Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Technology, Nurzada Beisen, Vice President of Northwestern Polytechnical University, Yue Xiaokui, Professor at Northwestern Polytechnical University and Director of the International Co-operation Department, Kong Jie, Deputy Director of the International Schools Department of the International Cooperation Department at NPU, Li Qiwei, and others.
Vice President of Northwestern Polytechnical University, Yue Xiaokui, congratulated the students on the upcoming New Year, the 90th anniversary of KazNU, and the end of the semester. In his speech, he highlighted the successful work of the NPU branch, which trains highly qualified and in-demand specialists. The scientists at the "5G/5.5G Communication technologies" laboratory are working on joint research projects. The distinguished guest emphasized that co-operation within the framework of joint projects will continue to grow stronger and will yield significant results.
During the meeting, the students were able to ask questions to the members of the NPU delegation and the teachers, share their opinions and discuss topics of interest.
