An interview about the economic and sovereign potential of a social state
In an interview with «Ana tili», the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan emphasized the main task of turning Kazakhstan into one of the largest digital hubs in the Eurasian space and stressed that this is quite feasible. “To do this, we need to develop artificial intelligence technologies. Promising projects have already appeared. For example, the first version of the large Kazakh language model KazLLM has been created. It is an artificial intelligence that thinks, analyzes and speaks Kazakh. Work in this direction continues.”
I would like to note that scientists from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University are actively involved in this potential project initiated by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Sayasat Nurbek. Scientists from the UNESCO Department of Journalism and Communication, who speak English, worked in the field of Public Relations.
It is also true that our country has always been actively engaged in strengthening ties between the Turkic peoples, as well as promoting our common historical and cultural heritage. In this regard, the Head of State stressed: "As Chairman of the Organization of Turkic States, Kazakhstan has adopted the motto "TURKTIME!". This abbreviation stands for eight priorities: Traditions, Unification, Reforms, Knowledge, Trust, Investments, Mediation, and Energy. These priorities were received with interest by the entire Turkic community, which is not limited to the countries of the Organization of Turkic States. Kazakhstan supports all creative initiatives that promote the rapprochement of the Turkic world, and has a positive attitude towards the Russian concept of "Altai – the cradle of the Turks." Admittedly, only an expert in diplomacy can express such an opinion.
The staff of the Faculty of Journalism is systematically working in this direction, for example, two months ago, with the participation of the Secretary General of the TURKSOY Sultan Raev organization, the «TURKSOY Media Education and Research Center» was opened.
Although opinions are often expressed now that traditional media are beginning to lose their viability, our President boldly expressed his opinion in this regard: "I am closely following all trends in the information space. The importance of written texts should not be underestimated, they still serve as an important source of information about government policy."
