When we hear about KazNU, we are always excited

In 1966, we stepped into the Faculty of Journalism of the university, which was then called KazGU. Our dean was Tauman Amandosov. We received education from our esteemed professors, such as Zeynolla Kabdolov, Myrztay Zholdasbekov, and other renowned scholars. To this day, we have not forgotten the lectures from our early years, especially the lessons we received from Zeynolla Kabdolov, who was a teacher of teachers. They remain unforgettable in our memories. Thus, the four years we spent within the walls of the university passed by as quickly as four days. Since then, whenever we hear about KazNU, we become excited, turning into alumni who are always eager.

Many years have passed since then, and the location of our alma mater has changed. When we were studying, the university building was at the intersection of Panfilov and Khiva streets. With the change in the university’s location, its prestige, opportunities, and reputation have grown and soared. The number of students and teachers has also increased significantly. Today, like a state within a state, a city within a city, it adds beauty to Almaty. Currently, the university is led by the distinguished statesman, Zhanseit Tuimebayev. Since he took the reins, the educational institution has become one of the top universities in the world. We are proud to have received our education in such a leading institution. We are confident that Al-Farabi KazNU will continue to be at the forefront of the educational field. Congratulations on the 90th anniversary of our alma mater!
