KazNU expands partnership with UK universities

The Chairman of the Board – Rector of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, held a meeting with the treasurer of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for International Students, Chair of the APPG on Web 3.0, and politician Manzila Uddin, during the BETT 2025 international exhibition in the United Kingdom.

During the conversation, Zhanseit Tuimebayev informed Manzila Uddin about the activities of KazNU and noted that the university has extensive experience in collaboration within the scientific and educational fields with foreign universities.

"More than 27,000 students study at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, with over 4,000 coming from abroad. To date, KazNU has established partnerships with 11 universities in the United Kingdom. In 2024, 5 students, 6 doctoral candidates, and 15 faculty members of KazNU participated in various conferences and professional development courses at UK universities. Additionally, between 2021 and 2024, 8 British scholars delivered lectures at the university. In the future, we plan to intensify our collaboration with UK universities", - said the rector.

In turn, Manzila Uddin emphasized that she would make every effort to strengthen the partnership between UK universities and KazNU.
