In 2021, Aruzhan Bakumbaikyzy graduated with honors from the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, specializing in Oriental Studies (Korean Studies).
During her studies, she not only excelled as a distinguished student but also earned the scholarship "POSCO Asia Fellowship" from the POSCO TJ Park Foundation for three consecutive years (2018–2020). This achievement allows her to proudly highlight her contribution to the advancement of international cooperation and education. Due to her outstanding academic performance, she also received a scholarship from Shinhan Bank Kazakhstan in 2018 and was transferred from paid tuition to a state grant.
Aruzhan demonstrated not only academic success but also remarkable achievements in science and the arts. She won numerous competitions and olympiads, including 1st place at the 9th International Public Speaking Contest, organized in collaboration with Hanyang University and Namseoul University in 2019, which earned her a place in the master's program at Hanyang University. She also took 2nd place in the Korean language olympiad organized by the Korean Educational Center in 2020.
Her success was also recognized in the fields of Oriental Studies and literary translation. She won 3rd place in the Republican Oriental Studies Olympiad and the "History of Korea" contest, and became a prizewinner in literary translation competitions (from Kazakh to Korean and from Korean to Kazakh).
After completing her studies with honors (a red diploma), Aruzhan continues to grow professionally and serve as an inspiring example for future students of KazNU.
Currently, Aruzhan works as an Associate at POSCO International Corporation, where she not only applies her professional skills but also actively supports the relationship between the university and the POSCO TJ Park Foundation. She plays a key role in organizing annual scholarships for students at the university, helping open new opportunities for young people striving for success. Her work is a shining example of how KazNU graduates continue to contribute to the development of educational and cultural ties on the international stage.
