As part of the pedagogical practice in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG-15), on February 14, 2025, an educational hour was held entitled «Conservation of biodiversity and prevention of its extinction».

The event was held under the guidance of сandidate of рedagogical sciences, аssociate рrofessor of the department of pedagogy and management Imanbekova B.I., head of the department of biodiversity and bioresources PhD., associate professor Nurmakhanova A.S., 1st year doctoral students in the specialty «Geobotany» Koylybaev Zhasulan Zhamigatovich, Muratbaeva Aitolkyn Sandibaevna, Masimzhan Muratzhan Tileberdiuly, 1st year doctoral students in the specialty «Fisheries and Industrial Fisheries» Sambayev Nurlan Serikbaevich, Satbek Ansar Talgatuly jointly organized the event. The educational hour was held at the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay, in which doctoral students of KazNU, employees and students of this institution actively participated. At the educational hour:

• «The importance of biodiversity for humanity»

• «Factors affecting the elimination of biodiversity»

• «Preservation of Biodiversity»

          The most pressing issues of today, entitled «Supporting the interests of sustainable development», were actively discussed between students of the two universities and rational recommendations were developed.

          At the end of the event, qualified specialists of KazNPU, head of the department, senior lecturer, PhD Maimatayeva A.D., lecturer Taldybay A.A. shared modern innovative ways of preserving biodiversity. They also thanked the organizers for the students' contribution and activity in preserving the balance in nature and preventing the extinction of biodiversity. The event ended with the participants making an important conclusion that contribution to nature conservation and biodiversity conservation is everyone's civic duty.
