Digital projects with South Korean colleagues

A meeting was held at the Cluster of Engineering and High Technologies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University between the heads of the university's research centers and the director of the South Korean holding company Defense Global, Hong Jinseong Sean.
As part of the visit, company representatives were introduced to the research activities of the Farabi Robotics Engineering Competence Center, the Space Technology Center, and the Remote Sensing Center, which are part of the cluster.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Cluster of Engineering and High Technologies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, including the General Director Amirhan Temirbayev, Deputy of General Director Omirzhan Taukebayev, professor Vitaly Salsnikov, and Associate Professor Alexander Ulman from the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management.
During the meeting, the parties discussed potential areas of cooperation and the prospects for implementing innovative projects in the field of technology transfer between Kazakhstan and South Korea. The first phase of the plan involves launching a pilot project to create a digital twin of KazNU, which will become a key element of the university's digitalization.
In addition, Mr. Hong Jinseong Sean proposed organizing professional development courses for the university's faculty, covering modern fields such as the development of digital twins, the creation of drones and robotic systems, the application of artificial intelligence, and big data processing.
The meeting was organized at the initiative of the head of the Center for Earth Sciences, Space, and Communications of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, E.V.Shevchenko.
The visit became an important step in strengthening scientific and technical cooperation and the exchange of advanced technologies between Kazakhstan and South Korea.
