Maratbek Tulebergenovich Gabdullin is a Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, PhD, and a highly qualified specialist in plasma physics, nanomaterials, nanotechnology, and hydrogen energy.
He graduated from the Faculty of Physics of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in 2001, then completed his master's degree with honors and, in 2005, finished his PhD at the Department of Optics and Plasma Physics at KazNU, specializing in "Plasma Physics".

In 2005, Maratbek Tulebergenovich began his career at the Research Institute of Experimental and Theoretical Physics at KazNU, advancing from a leading specialist to deputy director. In 2010, he was appointed director of the National Nanotechnology Laboratory of Open Type at KazNU, a position he held until September 2017. Since September 2017, he served as Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation at the Kazakh-British Technical University and was later appointed Acting Rector of the university.

Maratbek Gabdullin has authored over 400 scientific papers, 55 of which have been published in high-ranking journals in the USA, UK, Germany, Russia, and other countries. He holds 9 patents of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The scientist maintains close research collaborations with leading scientific centers in Germany, France, the USA, Japan, Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus. He is also a member of editorial boards of scientific journals and serves as a reviewer for prestigious publications.

For his contributions to science, Maratbek Tulebergenovich has been awarded numerous prestigious accolades, including "Best Young Scientist", "Best University Lecturer", the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Science and Technology named after Al-Farabi, the "Altyn Adam – Person of the Year" award in the "Science Figure" category, and the Presidential Medal "25 Years of the Constitution of Kazakhstan".
