Strengthening the institution of the family

In anticipation of the celebration of "Shanyrak Day", which is timed to coincide with the "Nauryznama" Decade, a cultural event called "Mereíli Otbasy" took place at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University

The "Shanyrak Day" celebration was first held last year. It is worth noting that in 2024, at the initiative of the President of the country, K. Tokayev, a new format for celebrating Nowruz was introduced, and the concept of Nowruz Meiram was approved.

The event became a platform for discussing contemporary family values and strengthening continuity between generations. It was attended by faculty members, professors, and staff of the university along with their families.

"Shanyrak Day is a special holiday that highlights our national identity, traditions, and family values of the Kazakh people. We celebrate the importance of family, the spiritual heritage of our ancestors, and the continuity between generations. This day helps us strengthen the institution of family and pass on national values to future generations. May our families be strong, and the future be bright!", – noted Abai Duisenbaev, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science.

At the celebration, participants had the opportunity to witness a vibrant event conducted in accordance with national traditions.
