The Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, speaking at the National Kurultai, noted: "Our ancient culture plays a significant role in strengthening national identity, with the holiday of Nowruz holding a special place. Citizens have positively received the initiative to hold the 'Nauryznama' week, and the Day of National Clothing, in particular, has received widespread response. There has been an increased interest in national clothing, which is now being worn in schools and other institutions, including large companies. The growing demand has contributed to the opening of tailoring workshops, the emergence of new brands, and stores. Thus, wearing national clothing is gradually becoming a common practice. This is a very positive trend. Instead of dressing in black garments that hide the face, it is much better to wear clothes in a national style. Our national clothing vividly highlights ethnic identity, so it should be widely popularized"
