PROFESSION – A LIFE CHOICE

On January 19, 2025, at Kenestu Secondary School in Temir District, Aktobe Region, a career guidance event titled "Profession – A Life Choice" was held as part of the professional orientation program, initiated by the Department of Economics of the Higher School of Economics and Business at Al-Farabi KazNU.

The purpose of the event was to provide future graduates with detailed information about in-demand economic professions in the modern labor market and to guide them in choosing a profession that matches their abilities and interests.

We express our sincere gratitude to the director of Kenestu Secondary School, Ms. Gulbanu Duzelbaeva, and the Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, Ms. Almagul Tleubaeva, for their high-level organization of the event!

During the event, Candidate of Economic Sciences and Senior Lecturer D.R. Tuarov joined the meeting online and spoke about the importance of obtaining higher education and becoming a qualified professional in today’s world. He also provided advice on the "Economics" and "Digital Economy" programs.

Additionally, Asem Sagynbayeva, a 4th-year student of the Economics program at KazNU, shared her experiences, highlighting the importance of choosing a future profession and describing her learning journey at the university.

In conclusion, this event was organized in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 4 – "Quality Education" and SDG 8 – "Decent Work and Economic Growth." The event played a significant role in enhancing students’ professional skills and assisting them in making informed decisions about their higher education and future careers.
