Dastarkhan of Friendship: unity in diversity
On March 19, 2025, as part of the celebration of Nauryz in a new format, undergraduatesand students of the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management, under the guidanceof advisor D.A. Nurgaliyeva and curator A.A. Masimbayeva, organized a rich friendshipdastarkhan. Here, representatives of different nationalities – Kazakhs, Russians, Moldovans,Germans, Chinese, Tajiks, Turkmens – treated their national dishes, shared the secrets of theirpreparation, and also talked about the traditions and beliefs associated with them.
The main treat of the holiday, Nauryz kozhe, a symbol of prosperity and abundance in the new year, took pride of place on Dastarkhan. Baursaki, kurt, irimshik, zhent, talkan were also represented on the table. The guests enjoyed the traditional dish of the Turkic peoples – kattama, Moldovan placinda stuffed with cheese and cottage cheese, German plum pie Zwetschgenkuchen, as well as other treats of the national cuisine of various peoples.
The event became a vivid example of cultural exchange and strengthening of interethnic unity. It not only allowed young people to get acquainted with the traditions and culinary heritage of different nations, but also helped them to unite, form a respectful attitude towards cultural diversity and realize the value of friendship and mutual understanding.
