Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Egypt
Askar Zhenisuly was born in 1974. In 1996, he graduated from the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, specializing in Oriental Studies. He began his career in 1997 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Over the years, he held various positions in the national companies Kazakoil, Kazaktelecom, KazTransGas, as well as in the Foreign Policy Center of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 2008 to 2012, he was the Consul General of Kazakhstan in Istanbul, and from 2012 to 2014 - the Consul General of Kazakhstan in Dubai.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the State of Qatar (09.2014-09.2020);
Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan (10.2020-08.2021);
Director of the Department of the Near, Middle East and Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2021-02.2024);
Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. (from February 2024 to January 5, 2025);
On January 5, 2025, by the Decree of the Head of State, Zhenis Askar Zhenisovich was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Arab Republic.
