International Scientific Internship for Master's Students

From March 20 to April 3, 2nd-year undergraduates of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics completed a scientific internship at the international spring school “Agrobiotechnology and Molecular Genetics of Plants” at the Agrarian and Technological Institute of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. As part of the scientific internship, students received lectures from the institute's leading teachers on molecular genetics and bioinformatics. The laboratory part of the internship was conducted at the Meristema laboratory, where students worked with methods of molecular biology and biotechnology, in particular microclonal propagation of cultivated plant varieties; DNA extraction and PCR, real-time PCR methods.
