Educational Event on the Topic “Youth and Entrepreneurship”

4 april, 2025

On April 4, 2025, at 14:00, an educational event titled “Youth and Entrepreneurship” was held. The event brought together first-year students of the Kazakh-language group AKM 24/4, majoring in Actuarial Mathematics at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics. The moderator of the session was A.Zh. Sarsenova, a first-year PhD student from the Department of Economics.

The purpose of the event was to spark students’ interest in entrepreneurship — one of the most relevant and dynamic areas of modern society — to foster motivation and confidence in launching their own ventures, and to emphasize the vital role of entrepreneurship in the development of the national economy.

This session was conducted within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically addressing SDG 4 – “Quality Education” and SDG 8 – “Decent Work and Economic Growth,” with a focus on target 8.6.

Candidate of Economic Sciences and senior lecturer A.A. Yerezhepova delivered a presentation on government-supported programs such as Zhas Kasipker (Young Entrepreneur) and Bastau Business. She also shared real-life examples of successful young entrepreneurs, presenting their stories as inspiring models for the students.

Throughout the event, students actively engaged by asking questions, sharing their opinions, and discussing innovative business ideas. The session provided a valuable opportunity for them to view their future from a new and entrepreneurial perspective.

The students left the event feeling inspired and more confident in their potential to start their own businesses in the future.
