Sustainable economic development is in the focus of scientists' attention

The international scientific conference "The Paradigm of sustainable economic development in the context of global change: challenges, consequences, opportunities" is being held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The scientific forum is dedicated to one of the most important and most pressing issues on the global agenda – the implementation of the paradigm of sustainable economic development in the context of global transformations. The event brought together well-known foreign and domestic scientists, statesmen, experts in economics and business, teachers and young researchers from the country's universities.
In his welcoming speech, Yerkin Duissenov, Deputy Chairman of the Board and First Vice–Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, congratulated the participants on the opening of the international scientific conference. It is intended to become a platform for open dialogue, exchange of scientific ideas and development of specific recommendations on sustainable economic development. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University consistently implements the mission of the new generation university: to generate knowledge, develop critical thinking and educate socially responsible leaders. KazNU is not only a training center, but also a powerful research cluster. Dozens of national and international grant projects are being implemented within the university scientific community.
"In particular, fundamental research is underway in the field of sustainable growth, green finance, digital platforms and economic integration in the economic sphere. In a number of areas, including Economics and Econometrics, Business and Management, we hold leading positions among universities in the world and Central Asia. Our university aims to actively participate in the transformation of the country's economy. We train highly qualified personnel who are able not only to function effectively in conditions of uncertainty, but also to become architects of economic change," the first Vice–rector emphasized.
At the opening of the conference, online speakers included: Deputy of the Mazhilis of Parliament, member of the Committee on Socio-Cultural Development Daulet Mukayev, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Head of the Permanent Mission of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty Vitaly Tutushkin, Akim of Turkestan Azimbek Pazylbekuly, PhD, Professor, researcher at the University of Padua (Padua, Italy) David Celetti.
The event continued in the format of plenary and breakout sessions. The participants discussed topical issues and prospects for sustainable economic development.
