The quality of archaeologists' training will improve

Within the framework of the Decade of Science, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a round table on the topic of studying and preserving historical and cultural heritage, organized by the University's History Department.
Thomas Cresain, Director General of the International Private Research Institution Eveha (France), and Simone Ricca, Director of RCHeritage (France), as well as representatives and researchers Guillaume Dubois, Samara, etc., took part in the event as invited guests.
The event was opened by Dosbol Baigunakov, Dean of the Faculty of History, who introduced the guests to the research work of university scientists and educational processes. According to the head of Eveha, Tom Kresein, the organization was founded in France in 2006, and its activities cover almost all areas of archaeological work, from excavations to scientific publications, as well as the preservation of historical and cultural heritage. The organization, working independently or in collaboration with research institutes and universities, has implemented numerous archaeological programs, as well as preventive and rescue projects on four continents.
In turn, the head of RCHeritage said that since its establishment in 2007, the company has been striving to support, protect, and develop cultural heritage sites and provide high-quality services in the field of their restoration and preservation.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of archeology and museology. As a result, they agreed on the importance of strengthening ties in the following aspects: conducting jointly organized advanced training courses, organizing research internships and internships for students, undergraduates and doctoral students.
Within the framework of the cooperation, joint scientific research and work in various areas of historical and cultural heritage studies are also planned.
