The international conference "Central Asia-China Advanced Computing Symposium" was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

 At the event, in addition to KazNU, the leaders of other universities were also present, including Beimbet Daribaev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Shakarim University, Nurzhan Duzbaev, Vice-Rector for Digitalization and Innovation of the University of Information Technologies, Nazym Akhanova, Acting Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of the Kazakhstan-British Technical University, as well as representatives of the Consulate of the Republic of China in Almaty, renowned scientists and professors, experts in information technologies, and the student youth.

In recent years, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and research centers and universities in China have established close cooperation in the field of education, science and technology.

The conference is aimed at developing innovative research in the field of high technologies and strengthening international partnership.

Speaking at the conference, the dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, Olzhas Turar, stressed that now the countries of the world give priority to quantum computing and artificial intelligence technologies. Joint research in these areas is the shortest path to new advances in digital technology.

"At today's meeting, the issue of creating a joint research center for high-performance computing will be discussed. This initiative will become the foundation of our common achievements in the field of science and innovation. I am sure that the conference will open up new ideas and opportunities in this field",-  said the Dean of the Faculty.

Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Almaty, Ms. Jiang Wei, and Professor Jin Hai of Huazhong University of Science and Technology also spoke at the opening of the conference.

The conference continued in the format of plenary and breakout sessions. The participants discussed topical issues of the development of high technologies, artificial intelligence and their implementation in the field of higher education.
