An Open Doors Day for Schoolchildren was held on April 15 at the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry. The event in online format was attended by Tazhibaev school No. 36 from Syrdarya district of Kyzylorda region, ALTYN ADAM innovative school from Yenbekshi district of Almaty region, Auezov school from Zaisan, Zhanaturmys secondary school from Karasay district of Almaty region, Lomonosov secondary school from Zaisan, Kyran school from Zhanakorgan district of Kyzylorda region, Koigeldy secondary school from Zhambyl region, Mukarama secondary school from Zaisan district, and Mailin secondary school from Abay region. At the event, detailed information on the educational programs of the faculty was presented and an online excursion for schoolchildren was conducted.
In addition, the educational program of the Department of Petrochemistry and Chemmatology was presented and its features and advantages were described. During the event, information about academic mobility, student life and employment opportunities of the department was presented. In the practical part of the Open Doors Day schoolchildren were shown the scientific laboratories of the faculty and the department in the format of live online broadcasting. In particular, the modern cluster Farabi Chem Science with the following scientific laboratories was presented in the online format: "Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry and Environment", "Laboratory of Electrochemical Production Technology", "Petrochemical Laboratory", "Chemical and Medical Laboratory", "Laboratory of Fine Organic Synthesis", "Laboratory of Advanced Materials and Technologies", "Laboratory of High Precision Materials Diagnostics". During the event, schoolchildren asked questions and familiarized themselves with ways to achieve their goals.
