Round table meeting on the topic "Communicable and non-communicable diseases"

On April 16, 2025, the lecturers of the Department of Biotechnology Kaiyrmanova G.K., Mukhataeva K.A., Abdiyeva G.Zh., Ualieva P.S. and Kirbayeva D.K. organized a round table meeting for 3rd year students of the specialties "Biotechnology" and "Biomedicine" with the Head of the Anatomical Museum of the Kazakh National Medical University named after Asfendiyarov, Associate Professor of the Department of Normal Anatomy B.Sh. Shakenov.

Students were provided with information about infectious and non-infectious diseases and were shown exhibits from the anatomical museum with various pathologies. Basically, the anatomical museum presents normal human organs: joints, respiratory system, genitourinary system, gastrointestinal tract, various muscles, etc. In addition, the museum presents congenital and acquired defects: anencephaly (congenital absence of the brain), Siamese twins, liver cirrhosis (due to infection) and other developmental pathologies.
