Meeting with a Representative of the University of Washington

On April 17, 2025, a meeting was held at the Scientific Center "Comparative Historical Research" under the Department of World History, Historiography and Source Studies with Talant Mavkanuly, the director of the Turkic and Central Asian Studies program at the University of Washington. T. Mavkanuly familiarized the Center's staff with the main directions of Turkic and Central Asian studies at the University of Washington.

The director of the Center "Comparative Historical Research", Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor G.K. Kokebaeva, informed the attendees about potential topics for future cooperation between Kazakh and American scientists on issues of comparative studies. The head of the department, Professor R.S. Myrzabekova, presented some of the department's academic courses taught with the involvement of foreign scientists.

At the end of the meeting, the main directions of cooperation between the staff of the Center and the department with American scientists were outlined.
