Farabi University

A solemn festive event titled “Unity and Harmony – the Foundation of Sustainable Development” was held at the Republican House of Friendship in Almaty, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. The event was jointly organized by the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Philology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, led by Associate Professor Dinara Dosmagambetova, and the Kyrgyz ethno-cultural association "Muras".

The event was attended by the Head of the Republican House of Friendship Nursaule Abdykalykkyzy Altekova, Co-Chairman of the Chechen-Ingush Cultural Society “Vainakh” Akhmed Seydrakhmanovich Muradov, Deputy Chairman of the Kyrgyz Ethno-cultural Association “Muras” Manas Nurmamatovich Tashybekov, President of the Republican Society “Kyrgyz Tili” of the Kyrgyz Republic Raimzhan Rakhmanovich Kurbanov, representatives of various ethno-cultural associations, faculty members of the Department of Foreign Languages at KazNU, first-year students, and cadets of the Military Academy of Almaty.

Deputy Chairman of “Muras” Manas Tashybekov delivered a congratulatory address to the participants. In addition, Zhenishbek Asankulovich Asankulov, a representative of the Consulate of the Kyrgyz Republic in Almaty, emphasized the significance of such events in his greeting.

The event aimed to strengthen unity and harmony among youth, promote patriotism, and increase civic engagement.

Following the welcoming speeches, a festive concert program was presented with the participation of KazNU students representing various ethnic backgrounds. The program featured dances, songs, and musical performances from Kyrgyz, Uzbek, Turkish, Turkmen, German, and Kazakh cultures. German-language students impressed the audience with a traditional dance, and the program was hosted in German by Mikhail Simonov, a first-year student of the Faculty of Chemistry.

The event served as a significant contribution to strengthening national unity, fostering interethnic understanding and cultural respect, and promoting patriotism among the younger generation. Participants noted that such events provide valuable experience for future professional development and play an important role in enhancing interethnic friendship. At the end of the celebration, letters of appreciation were presented to all organizers.
