Rector of KazNU took part in XXXIV session of APK

The XXXIV session of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan was held in Astana with the participation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al–Farabi Kazakh National University, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, was invited to the event as an honorary guest.

The President congratulated all those present on the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan. "Today's event has a truly historic significance. During its activity, the Assembly has made an invaluable contribution to strengthening stability and harmony in society. The APK has become a true symbol of unity and equality, peace and harmony. It is recognized as a unique public institution in the field of interethnic relations, which has played a crucial role in shaping the Kazakh model of peace and harmony", - the Head of State said.

In his speech, the President focused on a number of tasks to revitalize the work of the Assembly and informed about the work done.

During the session, deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, members of the Council of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, heads of republican ethno-cultural associations and representatives of public structures expressed their opinion on the successful work of the Assembly.

It should be noted that the head of the university, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, also took part in an expanded meeting of the Council of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan. The meeting discussed the results of the Assembly's work and upcoming tasks. In particular, the issues of activating the work of the Councils of elders and mothers, the Institute of Charity and Ethnomediation, as well as the "Youth of the Assembly" organization were raised.
