KazNU confirmed compliance with ISO requirements

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has successfully passed the certification audit and confirmed that its quality management system complies with the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2015.
Auditors from BC Asia Group conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the planning, resource provision, management, and analysis processes across the university's key structural units, including the Center for Strategic Development, the Department of Academic Affairs, the Center for Accreditation and Institutional Research, the Legal Department, the Department of Human Resources Development, the Department of Information Technology, the Department of Science and Innovation Activities, the Cluster of Engineering and High-Tech Technologies, the Department of Information and Communication, and the Compliance Control Service.
As part of the audit of value creation processes, the following areas were assessed: activity planning; consideration of consumer and stakeholder requirements; development of educational programs; laboratory research; assessment of students’ knowledge and skills; risk management; organization of feedback from stakeholders and graduates.
Special attention was given to the educational programs of the following faculties: Faculty of Physics and Technology (B076 "Standardization, Certification and Metrology"), Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science (7M01105 "Pedagogy. Education Management"), Faculty of International Relations (8D04101 "World Economy"), as well as the activities of the Center for Physico-Chemical Methods of Research and Analysis.
The audit results highlighted that the educational programs, scientific potential, wide range of services provided by scientific centers, effective organization of structural units, the effectiveness of process management, and the success of targeted governance fully meet the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 international standard.
