Sakura blossomed at KazNU, and the trees began to bear fruit

In 2021, at the initiative of Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev, an Alley of Trees was opened on the campus, where various fruit trees were planted.

As a result, today there are more than 400 apple trees, about 50 cherry, 30 apricot, 20 plum and pear trees and other fruit crops. This year, these fruit trees have also started to bloom.

In addition, the sakura, planted four years ago, bloomed for the first time this year, delighting the university community.

About 15 000 summer flowers were also planted, which became a real decoration of the university campus.
