Support for young scientists will increase

The 49th Republican Scientific and Practical Conference of the Minor Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was held with the support of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event was attended by Rashid Seitov, Chief Academic Officer of the Center for Education and Social Development Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Valentina Grishchenko, Vice-President of the Minor Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, leading scientists and experts of the University, as well as members of the Kazakh Academy of Sciences, students of schools, colleges and universities in Almaty and regions of Kazakhstan.
Margulan Ibraimov, Acting Vice Rector for Research and Innovation at KazNU, addressed the guests and participants with a welcoming speech. He stressed the important role of the Kazakh Academy of Sciences in involving schoolchildren and students in scientific activities. Thanks to cooperation with scientists and educational organizations in the country, an effective system of support for gifted youth has been built, contributing to the development of research skills and the training of future scientific personnel.
"Al-Farabi Kazakh National University supports and provides its scientific and educational base for the implementation of projects and interaction of schoolchildren with researchers. We are convinced that interest in science should be developed from an early age, and the "School–University– Research Institute" model implemented through the IAS is a vivid example of this. Our university is not just an educational center, but a scientific ecosystem in which ideas, innovations are born and the future of Kazakhstan is being built. We are always open to young talents, their ideas and ambitions", - said Acting Vice Rector M.Ibraimov.
The plenary session of the conference was held in the Great Hall named after U.A.Zholdasbekov of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics. The work of 14 thematic sections was organized at the faculties of the university in accordance with the relevant scientific areas.
According to the results of the regional selection, about 120 research reports in the fields of physico-technical, chemical-biological, philological, social and humanitarian sciences were presented at the conference. As part of the planned career guidance program, participants visited scientific laboratories and innovative sites of the university, including Farabi Chem Science, Farabi Hub, Farabi Robotics, as well as the Center for Remote Sensing of the Earth.
At the end of the conference, the participants and winners were awarded with diplomas, certificates and prizes.
