Cooperation with Hunan Pedagogical University

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University received a delegation led by Tang Cunzhong, Deputy Director of the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation at Hunan Pedagogical University.

Margulan Ibraimov, Acting Vice-Rector of KazNU for Scientific and Innovative Activities, greeted the guests, familiarized them with the university's areas of work and its scientific achievements, and also spoke about KazNU's strategic cooperation with higher educational institutions of the People's Republic of China. Currently, joint research and educational projects are being implemented within the framework of signed agreements with 65 higher education institutions in China. A branch of the Northwestern Polytechnic University (NWPU) has been opened, which is successfully operating. Together with the Institute of Ecology and Geography of the Academy of Sciences of the People's Republic of China, the Kazakh-Chinese joint laboratory "Technology of Remote Sensing and Application" was established on the basis of KazNU.

The international Nanotechnology Research Laboratory, which requires a lot of energy, was opened jointly with Nanjing University of Science and Technology, and the "5G/5.5G Communication Technology" Laboratory was opened with Northwestern Polytechnic University.

"From 2022 to the present, two professors from China have been involved in KazNU to give lectures, and today 869 students from China are studying at KazNU", - said the acting vice–rector, expressing confidence in fruitful cooperation with Hunan Pedagogical University and thanking the guests for their visit.

In turn, Tang Cunzhong, Deputy Director of the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation at Hunan Pedagogical University, spoke about the history of his university and expressed interest in programs aimed at developing educational exchange.

During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues of cooperation, opportunities for exchanging experience in the field of scientific research and academic mobility, and shared their thoughts.
