New issue in 2025 – KazNU joins the ranks of geographers

A solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas to graduates of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The event was held in a festive atmosphere, bringing together teachers, parents and students. Opening the ceremony, the presenters congratulated the participants on the great joy of becoming a graduate of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Every year, the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management demonstrates the high achievements of its students, and 2025 was no exception. Graduates who completed their bachelor's and master's degrees received their diplomas, confirming the quality of their knowledge and skills. The special solemnity of the event was given by the Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which was played at the beginning of the ceremony.

Board member and Vice–Rector for Academic Affairs Alina Galeeva addressed the graduates with a congratulatory speech on behalf of the head of the university, Zhanseit Tuimebayev. She noted the importance of the acquired knowledge and wished the graduates a successful start in their professional careers, stressing that the doors of the university are always open to them.

The Dean of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management, Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor Aliya Aktymbaeva, made a speech, stressing that she was proud of the graduates. "Your studies at your alma mater are just the beginning of a long and exciting journey. Strive for new heights, don't stop there!", - she addressed the students.

The famous singer, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhenis Iskakova joined the congratulations by singing a popular song.

In the midst of the ceremony, the bachelors and masters could share their impressions and emotions, expressing gratitude to the teachers and their families for their support and faith.
