KAZNU RECTOR RECEIVES FAMOUS JOURNALIST

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev received the famous journalist, writer, publicist, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, academician, Academy of Journalists of Kazakhstan Ayagan Utenuly Sandybai.

During the meeting, the rector congratulated Ayagan Sandybai on his 75th birthday and noted his significant contribution to the development of Kazakh journalism, as well as to the promotion of national culture and spiritual values.

"Over the years, you have demonstrated high professionalism, dedication and responsibility, serving as an example for colleagues and the younger generation. Your contribution to the preservation and promotion of national history and culture will forever remain in the memory of the people. Thanks to your fruitful work in domestic journalism, you have been awarded the titles of "Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan", academician of the Academy of Journalism of Kazakhstan. The University is proud of such an outstanding graduate like you", - said the rector.

Over the years, Ayagan Sandybai worked at the KazTAG news agency, held the positions of Head of the sector of the Presidential Administration, Head of the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Deputy Minister of Press and Mass Media of the Republic of Kazakhstan, First Vice President of the Kazakhstan Broadcasting Corporation, General Director of Kazakh Television, Director of the Public Relations Department of JSC National Company KazMunayGas, Deputy General Director of Kazmedia Ortalygy LLP, Editor-in-Chief of Astana Akshami and Mysl publications. He is the author of a number of nonfiction books and television projects.
