A strategic cooperation session was held in the Chinese city of Suzhou between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Northwestern Polytechnic University, Suzhou University and Jiangsu Huibo Robotics Technology Co., Ltd.
The session was attended by Margulan Ibraimov, Member of the Board, Vice–Rector for Research and Innovation at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almas Gauhar, Director of the Center for Commercialization and Creative Industry, Kong Jie, Dean of the International Institute of Education at Northwestern Polytechnic University, and others.
The objectives of the session were to discuss areas of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of education and robotics, as well as the creation of new academic programs and international educational initiatives.
Important topics were discussed on the agenda, such as the joint holding of the Silk Road International Robotics Skills Competition, the opening of a new educational program in the field of "Artificial Intelligence + industrial robotics", certification of standards for training AI specialists in Kazakhstan and the creation of a joint AI laboratory in Almaty.
Margulan Ibraimov, Member of the Board and Vice–Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities, stressed the importance of cooperation: "Strengthening ties between our universities and industry is an important step towards training highly qualified specialists who will be able to compete internationally."
Almas Gauhar, Director of the Center for Commercialization and Creative Industry, noted in his speech: "The creation of joint educational programs and the development of infrastructure for advanced studies will provide our students with access to the most modern technologies and knowledge."
The strategic session opens up new horizons for the development of international cooperation and KazNU projects. Participation in such cases not only strengthens academic ties, but also creates conditions for the introduction of innovative approaches in education and science.
