SDG 4 and SDG 9: Leadership Lecture of the Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Technology, Professor N.A. Beisen, with First-Year Students

In honor of Knowledge Day, a leadership lecture was delivered at the Faculty of Physics and Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University by the Dean of the Faculty, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor N.A. Beisen. The event was organized for first-year students and gathered more than 250 participants.

During the lecture, the Dean spoke in detail about the structure of the Faculty, its departments, academic programs, and key scientific directions. Heads of departments and their deputies for research and academic affairs were also introduced, providing students with information about study opportunities, scientific activities, and professional development.

The significance of the event was further enhanced by the participation of the Vice-Rector for Science of KazNU, M.K. Ibraimov, and the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, A.K. Galsheeva, who expressed their support to the first-year students, emphasized the role of youth in the development of the university, and wished them success in the new academic year.

The lecture became an important element in shaping academic culture and encouraging students’ engagement in the educational and scientific life of the Faculty. In his address, the Dean emphasized that the training of highly qualified specialists is aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goal No. 4 (Quality Education) and closely connected with Goal No. 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), thereby reinforcing the Faculty’s strategic course toward integration into the global scientific and educational space.
