On September 8–9, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted the international forum Space Days Kazakhstan – 2025. The forum’s goal was to strengthen cooperation in the space industry, advance cutting-edge technologies, and integrate science, education, and production.

The event brought together delegations from more than 50 countries, including representatives of international organizations, universities, research centers, the business community, as well as leading space experts.

KazNU scientists were the first in Kazakhstan and Central Asia to design and launch nanosatellites Al-Farabi-1 and Al-Farabi-2 into orbit. In 2026, the launch of the NKSAT microsatellite, developed jointly with China’s Northwestern Polytechnical University, is planned.

In addition, young researchers from the Departments of Plasma Physics, Nanotechnology, and Computer Physics are actively contributing to the implementation of scientific projects in this field.
