KazNU has officially opened the International Institute of Digital Technologies and Robotics and the Robotics Center
The official opening of the International Institute of Digital Technologies and Robotics and the Robotics Center took place on the basis of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The ceremony was attended by Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Almaty Jiang Wei, Chairman of the Board – Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Chief Executive Officer of Huibo Robotics Wang Zhenhuang.
This large–scale project is a modern innovative solution combining the technological capabilities and academic potential of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Jiangsu Huibo Robotics Technology Co., Ltd. An important agreement was reached during the recent official visit of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the People's Republic of China.

The honorary guests were met by Rector Zhanseit Tuimebayev, who introduced them to the work of the large-scale complex.
The head of the university noted that the center is an advanced educational space that allows you to master digital engineering and industrial robotics. Here, students study all production processes in a digital environment. They also learn about the interconnection of each stage of production and how to work with complex automated systems.

The center has a total area of 600 square meters. The five innovative platforms are complexes created on the basis of modern production technologies and artificial intelligence. They are designed to work with intelligent robots.
In particular, a virtual factory, a programming system for industrial robots, artificial intelligence and machine vision platforms, a training system for using industrial robots, and Unitree Go2 Pro robots capable of performing complex bionic movements and interactive tasks. Currently, 13 modern robots are installed in the center.

The Institute will develop and implement joint educational programs in the fields of Robotics, Mechatronics, Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels. Retraining courses for specialists in the field of digital technologies are also planned.
In his speech, Minister Sayasat Nurbek praised the potential of the training center, noting that such practical educational models play a crucial role in the training of engineers and IT specialists of the new generation.

Chinese partner Wang Zhenhuang said that this project will contribute to further scientific and technical cooperation between the two countries, helping to reach a new level of robotics education and research.
Within the framework of the project, it is planned to create start-ups and innovative companies, as well as launch the production of components of robotic systems in Kazakhstan. It is planned to launch joint internship programs, academic mobility and experience exchange with international universities and technology companies. In the future, international conferences and hackathons will be organized. This will give an impetus to the development of joint online educational and scientific programs with educational institutions in China and other countries.

The gathered guests and industry experts expressed confidence that this initiative of KazNU will give an impetus to the technical education system in the country.
